This Institution was established in the year 1895 as a Middle English School. It got affiliation as  High School in the year 1926. Three successive batches had been passed out. Due to fall of Roll strength it had lost it’s. High School status & Reverted to Middle English School in the year 1936. The school reestablished from 1951 as Middle English School and got sanction of six(6) Assistant Teachers from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (Recognition memo w.e.f 1st January 1957 as High School). Up-grated as XI clam H.S School (Arts) in the year 1961, got affiliation of science stream in the year 1963. At present it is a Higher Secondary School (10+2) with Science, Arts & Commerce Stream. We  have Vocational stream under West Bengal Council of Vocational Education & Training both VIII+ level & H.S level. We got affiliation of Distance Education stream (both M.P & H.S) under the Council of Rabindra Open Schooling. Two new subject have been introduced in the M.P & H.S level under NSQF (a part of Vocational Education) in Vocational Stream.
